Hibernating Your Plan
We know that things come up. Family emergencies, company restructuring, or just plain ol’ life happens. In any case, sometimes you don’t need work done for your project but you don’t want to lose any headway you’ve made with your LongerDays team! If only there were a way for you to keep your project information in its place with your team lead but without purchasing hours or spending unnecessary money. Here’s the answer!
We call this our “Hibernate” option – the goal is to allow you some time and space to breathe while keeping our info up-to-date so we can hop back in when you’re ready to get moving again.
Hibernate offers the following features:
- The ability to retain your Team Lead, barring unusual circumstances.
- Keep your files, passwords, and preferences safely stored in our system.
- Flexible return date.
Things we can’t do during hibernation:
- Work. This is strictly a “save my place” option, and no hours are included.
- Extensive planning or communication. We’ll have to wait until we’ve got your time built into our day to make plans for when you come back. A few emails or calls for clarification are fine!
The Rules:
- Hibernating your plan is $100/month (billed on the first of the month, just like your current plan).
- You may hibernate for up to 90 days.
- When you make the decision to Hibernate, we’ll need a restart date from you. You will automatically be charged your original plan amount on that day. If you can’t commit to a restart day, it may be a better idea to cancel your account completely for the time being and sign back up when you’re ready. We see this hibernate option as a temporary solution if urgent things come up.
- If you want to come back early – great! If, for instance, you have a restart date of April 1, get charged $100 on March 1 for hibernating, and decide you’re ready to come back mid-March, we’d put you on a lower-than-normal plan (to make sure we can use the hours you purchase before the end of the month), and use your $100 payment as a credit to your plan.
