Agility is the name of the game for our staff. While we have our “core services,” the actual tasks we complete every day can vary wildly…
No two clients’ needs are exactly the same, and even if they fall under a similar umbrella of “task type,” the specific requests keep us on our toes – and constantly developing new skills. As we gain new knowledge and use new platforms, the scope of our services evolves. As we refine how we can best help our clients, we figure out what we should and shouldn’t offer… For the mutual benefit of everyone involved.
With that in mind, we wanted to make this post to shout from the rooftops:
If you don’t know whether or not we can do a task, just ask!
Over the last year or so, we’ve gotten into Pipedrive, video editing, making Google Slides presentations, and all kinds of other stuff. In fact, there are only a handful of tasks we take a hardline stance against: cold calling, accounting, and developing the kinds of campaigns that agencies charge big bucks for (we’ll help you implement, we just won’t design the thing from scratch).
Otherwise, most things in the neighborhood of our core services are fair game…
Sometimes we have to learn new things to complete a task request, but that’s okay! Other times, you might be surprised to find we’re already familiar with the new platform you just signed up for.
Really, we just want to encourage our clients (and anyone thinking of signing up for our services) to evaluate the things taking up time in their day, or those pesky tasks that sit idle on the backburner, and ask us about them!
We might not be able to tackle every single request, but LongerDays is an organic, evolving company. Our top priority is making our clients happy, and that means at least considering just about any task that comes in. If it’s out of scope, we’re happy to tell you so. When it’s something we’ve never done before, but seems plausible, we’ll be transparent about that too. If it’s something we do all the time, just haven’t done it for you yet… We’ll give you an enthusiastic thumbs up and dive right in.
All of this is to say that if you don’t ask, you’ll never know! We can list services on our website, but there’s no way to enumerate each and every task we are capable of doing… And we’re always trying new things.
So, if you’ve got something on your plate that you want to get rid of… If a repetitive task is eating up important time every day… Need something made or edited… If you need to know more about a piece of software or help planning a trip… Or just about anything else you can think of…
